OSB board: what is it and where is it used?

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is an engineered wood board made from large wood chips bonded together with resins, synthetic wax, and boric acid. The board consists of three or more layers in which the strands are laid crosswise: the outer layers in one direction, the inner ones in another. This structure provides high strength and resistance to deformation.

Main advantages of OSB boards:

  • high bending strength;
  • dimensional stability, minimal deformation;
  • resistance to moisture and temperature changes;
  • easy to process (cutting, sanding, drilling);
  • affordable price.

Where OSB boards are used:

  • frame construction (walls, floors, roofs);
  • subflooring base: laminate, parquet, linoleum;
  • manufacturing of temporary structures;
  • facade cladding (with additional treatment);
  • production of packaging, crates, and furniture elements.

In our catalog, moisture-resistant OSB boards (OSB-3) are available in different thicknesses: 9 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 18 mm, 22 mm — size 1250×2500 mm.

We offer only high-quality certified material with delivery throughout Ukraine. We will help you choose the optimal board thickness for your tasks — from renovation to construction.
